Faculty of Science.

It was agreed that the essential departments were Departments of Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology.

(a) No special em hasis appeared to be called for on any distinctive branch of chemistry.

(b) The suggested development of the study of nuclear physics in China would best be achieved by the training of good Honours graduates of the University of Hong Kong at a British university.

(c) By reason of the geographical position of Hong Kong and the existence of a scheme for a Fisheries Research Institute it was of importance that special emphasis should fall on erine Biology.
